Through the use of our SAP ERP system and Pipelined Business Processes CyberDyne
has established extremely tight inventory controls resulting in highly efficient
inventory management. With over 8,000 square meters of storage capacity, CyberDyne
maintains an impressive stock holding used to service its network of resellers,
E-Tailers and retail outlets. Being able to manage inventory physically in stock
is however only half the challenge facing a distributor. Key to the overall success
of any distribution business is how it manages 'stock outs' and how rapidly it is
able to procure replacement inventory. This is where CyberDyne excels and offers
arguably one of the most rapid stock replacement cycles in the industry. Through
weekly consignments shipped to CyberDyne from its overseas suppliers, 'stock outs'
are kept to a minimum - thus ensuring even if inventory is not currently in stock,
replacement product is a few days away.
Do you always keep stock of every single item as listed per your price guide ?
At any given time, approximately 85% of all product as
listed on our price guide are physically held as trading inventory. Certain products
however are shipped to CyberDyne weekly (special order) on a firm order basis only.
These products are typically 'high end' or specialized product for which demand
is low and foreign pricing tends to depreciate rapidly over a very short period
of time. Typical examples would include high end or specialized memory modules,
Flash products & Solid State Drives.
What is the estimated lead time for any product
currently out of stock ?
Depending entirely on which product, the estimated lead
time to receipt of replacement inventory in our Warehouse would be 5-7 business
days. This would apply in about 90% of all 'Stock Out' cases. There are certain
products which may not be available for several weeks - this would apply to those
products which are in shortage from the respective manufacturer and for which CyberDyne
has no control over the manufacturer's stock position.
Are you able to guarantee the lead time for
replacement inventory consignments ?
Lead times quoted are merely estimates and are not intended
to be final and binding upon CyberDyne. There are multiple factors in the imports
process beyond our direct control which can and do affect these lead times such
as Shipping Lines, Airlines, Customs & Excise and the availability of inventory
from the foreign supplier. Whilst every effort is made to ensure lead times quoted
are as accurate as possible, CyberDyne will not be held liable for delays caused
by factors beyond its direct control.
When do you process orders for items out of
stock or special order product ?
Inventory re-orders for 'stock outs' and special order
items are processed once a week on a Thursday after 17:00pm. The estimated arrival
date for these consignments would the following week Tuesday / Wednesday.
What does 'Allocation' on your price guide mean
?
Product that is in shortage from the manufacturer is flagged
as under 'Allocation' on our price guide. This means that the manufacturer is experiencing
inventory shortages and places its customers into a state of 'Allocation' meaning
that orders placed are subject to the allocation of inventory as and when the manufacturer
has additional product available for supply. Because periods of 'Allocation' can
last anywhere from several days, to several weeks, we specifically flag these products
as being under 'Allocation' to advise customers in advance that product is not currently
available and no estimated lead times are available.
